Business Development Director

Breaking new ground within the healthcare domain is today a common claim. Only the few can truly back this up with patented and protected products and processes. Our client`s device allows global pharmaceutical and life sciences companies to make considerable savings in money and time, so putting themselves and the potential patient in a better place. Simply put, the device allows customers to receive accurate testing results and data back within 60 seconds instead of 7 days historically. Not surprisingly customer uptake is gathering momentum. This requires the business to adapt and mature commercially at an accelerated pace. Markets are global, expanding, and seeking fresh ideas.

The company leadership are now inviting a proven business development professional to join the team, experienced in both managing significant accounts and in identifying and delivering new business value.

Responsibilities

  • To generate and manage the total business revenue generated from the whole team.
  • Grow a strong understanding of the complete product package to deliver new business wins.
  • Manage and coach the business development team in order to achieve and surpass revenue targets.
  • Present strategic plans to the board on the planning and coordination for the penetration of new markets.
  • Attend international exhibitions and congresses to obtain new customers.

Qualifications

  • Ideally educated to degree level in a relevant life sciences field.
  • 10 + years’ experience in a technical B2B environment from the life sciences or OEM sectors.
  • Demonstrate track record of increasing revenue through generation of leads.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • International footprint in major account development and growth.
